The relationships students create with each other are also amazing; they are so valuable and everlasting. It also provides students a chance to be challenged and grow. I really feel like UCI helps students to use their full potentials.

Name: Cheng-Wei (Billy) Sun

Majors: Criminology, Law, and Society; Sociology
Year: 4th
Extracurricular: Chapter Founder of Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity Chi Pledge President, Taiwanese American Organization; Public Relations Liaison, UCI Los Angeles Alumni Club
Why you love UCI: UCI has presented me with opportunities beyond my expectations, and has shown me the limitless possibilities of a well established institution. The environment and atmosphere of my fellow students, faculty, and the beauty of campus provides me with an ideal place to learn, grow, and have fun. My classes are mostly interesting, and there is never a dull moment with the personalities here, and being close to the beach is always a plus. Even though everything is ideal, I'd have to say the resources and diversity is what makes me appreciate UCI the most.
What you recommend doing the most: There are limitless opportunities, don't overlook all the things that are offered to you, diversify you self, and just trying new things. During our SPOP sessions I always said "keep an open mind", but seriously try new things, you never know where u get to if you never go. Every day is a new day and things will be boring and repetitive if you let it be, so step up to the challenge. Always make the most of what you have and surround yourself with people that will grow with you. |
