Name: Karly Ho
School: Henry Samueli School of Engineering
Major(s): Civil Engineering
Minor(s):
Year: Junior
Extracurricular activities: Alpha Phi Fraternity, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Hobbies: Besides hanging out with friends and going to the beach, I enjoy going to the ARC and running - basically, keeping in shape and staying healthy. I also like to explore and do new things, like try different types of food and travel.
Why you love UCI: I love UC Irvine because I've made so many great friends and had so many wonderful memories here. The beautiful campus, prime location (near Newport Beach, L.A., etc.) and friendly people make it an exceptional school to learn and have fun.
What you recommend doing the most: I recommend getting involved on campus. Whether it's going Greek, joining a club, getting an on campus job, or all three, (like I did!) there are so many great opportunities to meet new people, have fun, and extend your education way beyond the classroom. |

Why you love UCI: I love the location, the weather, the students, the intramural sports, and the abundance of opportunities to get involved.
What you recommend doing the most: I would definitely advise every UCI student to somehow get involved, whether it be by playing intramural sports, joining a club, getting involved in ASUCI or SPOP, or joining Greek life. I think that there is something for every student at UCI and that getting involved truly makes ones college experience. |
