ADVISING
Academic advising is provided both within the Division of Undergraduate Education and in Academic Schools around campus.
- Undecided/Undeclared Advising - The Undecided/Undeclared Advising Program assists new freshmen and lower-division transfer students without a declared major in fostering a successful transition to UCI and creating informed decisions about their educational and career goals.
- Pharmaceutical Sciences Advising - Beginning in Fall 2009, the U/U Advising office added Pharm Sci majors to its advisees. See the U/U Advising site for information for both Pharm Sci freshmen and continuing students
- Advising Offices within the Schools - Each academic school has an advising office where students can speak with counselors about their academic program and questions. Students should seek advising within the school to which their major belongs other than U/U and Pharm Sci who go to the U/U Advising Office (256 Aldrich Hall) for academic counseling.
- Peer Academic Advising Program - The Peer Academic Advising Program provides valuable services for all UCI undergraduate students. It is the source of student-to-student academic counseling based not only on academic, but also personal experiences of UCI students. Academic units around the campus (including U/U and Pharm Sci) have peer academic advisors available to talk with students.
